This system was generally efficienct, but ran 24/7 at full system pressure.
During non-production periods the actual pressure requirement was only 50% (approximately) if the set pressure to hold process valves in position.
A Control System was fitted with programmable functionality to vary the pressure by time of day and day of the week.
The result was a proven 15% reduction in energy consumption and a payback of <23 months.
